dc.description.abstract This book summarizes the results of the project on experimental cultivation of the red king crab Paralithodes camtschaticus (Tilesius, 1815) under laboratory and semi-industrial conditions. The book consists of two chapters. In chapter 1 ("Biology") the results of the studies on the red king crab early development are described and compared with previous data. This knowledge of the red king crab biology at the early life history stages served as a basis for establishing feasible culture methods and techniques described in chapter 2 ("Culture"). Culture methods and techniques established in accordance with specific requirements of each stage allowed to obtain viable red king crab juveniles from the eggs in 2 months with overall survival equaling 30-35%. ru_RU
