Питание калана (Enhydra lutris) на Командорских, Северных Курильских островах и Камчатке

Abstract

Изучен состав и динамика рациона питания калана на Командорских, северных Курильских островах и Камчатке в сравнительном аспекте, рассмотрены средние размеры поедаемых ежей, как показатель состояния популяции калана. Выявлены существенные изменения состава пищи калана на Командорских островах, произошедшие за многолетний период. Дана оценка кормовой базе калана в рассматриваемых регионах./The composition and the dynamics of sea otter's diet has been studied in the Commander Islands, the Northern Kurile Islands and Kamchatka in the aspect of comparison; the average size of sea urchins consumed has been analyzed as index of the state of sea otter populations. Significant transformations have been revealed in the composition of the diet of sea otters during a long term period in the Commander Islands. The forage base in the areas mentioned has been assessed.
