В книге обобщены сведения о развитии, строении и функционировании половой системы самцов рыб. Описывается миграция первичных половых клеток в область закладки гонады, формирование мочеполовой системы, половая дифференцировка, случаи гермафродитизма, естественного и искусственного превращения пола. Основное внимание уделено особенностям строения мочеполовой системы, придаточных половых органов и сперматогенезу у пластиножаберных, цельноголовых, костистых и других групп рыб, характеру влияния внешних факторов и гормональной регуляции циклами гаметогенеза. Приведены сведения о характере формирования и выведения эякулятов, строении и свойствах спермиев. It describes migration of primordial germ cells in the region of embryonic gonads, the formation of the urogenital system, sex differentiation, cases of hermaphroditism, natural and artificially induced sex-reversals. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the structure of the urogenital system, male accessory organs of reproduction and spermatogenesis in selachians, chimaeras, teleosts and other groups of fish, the nature of the influence of environmental factors and gormonal regulation of the gonadal cycles. It contains data on the nature of the formation and evacuation of ejaculates, the structure and characteristics of spermatozoa.
