dc.description.abstract | The level of efforts on artificial reproduction of Baikal omul has no analogue in the global practice of whitefish fish reproduction. During the work time of the fisheries over 50 billion omul fry and 280 million omul young fish were released into Lake Baikal. At present such valuable as the Baikal sturgeon, trout and goldilock are included in the Red Books (IUCN, the Red Book of Russia, the Republic of Buriatia, Irkutsk Region and Zabaikalsky Region). To preserve biodiversity of Lake Baikal basin and restocking species of fish mentioned above, beside traditional measures of protection, their artificial reproduction on the Baikal hatcheries is necessary. The essential measure on effective artificial reproduction supply is to be technical basis of the hatchery complex modernization. | ru_RU |
