dc.description.abstract | The potencials of the modern analytical approach to assessment of a total allowable catch (TAC) as the key fisheries management measure were demonstrated on the example of the stock of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma (Pallas 1814) in the East of the Okhotsk Sea. The database (DB) of the information system (IS) "Fishery" was used as an alternative source of the initial information for analysis. The observed catches per unit effort ware converted into stock abundance indices. The main emphasis was placed on the following methodological issues: standardization of the observed values of catch per unit effort using generalized linear models (GLM), justifying the choice of the base model of the stock dynamics and the harvest control rule (HCR), risk analysis and other diagnostic procedures aimed to improve the efficiency of the aquatic biological resources management. | ru_RU |
