The Black Sea Turbot: the Stocks' Conditions and the Ways of Their Preservation and Restoration

Abstract

The dynamics of stock status and turbot's catches in the Black Sea are characterized. The factors, making the greatest negative impact on number of this species are defined. The data on fishing of turbot by the Black Sea countries, including Turkey, are resulted the unstable condition of stocks is ascertained. The ways of restoration of turbot's number, including by means of artificial reproduction technology, developed by FSUE "VNIRO" are offered.
