Abstract

The article "Aquaculture in the far east: yesterday, today and tomorrow" historically reflects stages of aquaculture researches in the Far East. It highlights the main directions of aquaculture and identifies the practical results in the areas of salmon culture, freshwater aquaculture, mariculture and discusses the prospects of the aquaculture development and its role in the Far Eastern fisheries complex.
